Job Description:
We are seeking a part time HSEQ Officer to join our team located near Esk, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across our construction and earthmoving projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to project teams on HSEQ matters, including incident investigation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate training and induction programs to promote HSEQ awareness and competency among employees and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role within the construction or earthmoving industry.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant HSEQ legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and effectively manage multiple projects.
- Certification in HSEQ management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is desirable.
- First Aid certification and general construction induction card are advantageous.
