We are seeking an HSEQ Officer to join us on a FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) roster initially to support Australia's largest demolition project, followed by future projects throughout Australia.
The position is perfect for an HSEQ Officer with 2+ years of experience, who wants to gain exposure in heavy industry deconstruction, while working with our international award-winning team. You will be supported and provided with training by our experienced HSEQ team onsite.
This role will see you working two weeks on, and one week off, (2:1 roster). The week off is paid in addition to 4 weeks annual leave.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide HSE advice and support to the workshop and project teams.
- Train and mentor staff members in safety and compliance.
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Manage subcontractor WHS evaluations and compliance to all safety systems/documentation/site safety compliance.
- Initiate and manage site emergency procedures.
- Liaise with the client professionally and courteously.
- Provide information and reports for client/company reporting needs.
- Conduct Toolbox sessions.
- Review Work Packs including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Work Method Statements (WMS) and facilitate improvement as required; and
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of all workers whilst on site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS or WHS) or higher;
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office;
- Minimum two years experience in a site based HSE role or similar;
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment qualification desirable;
- Deadline driven with the ability to prioritise tasks;
- A strong communicator with effective interpersonal skills;
- Accurate and attentive to detail;
- A team player with the ability to work well collaboratively as well as autonomously; and
- Experienced in construction, mining, or related industry is an advantage.
The successful candidate must undergo full pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening and Federal Police Check prior to employment.
