Over 80% of our dedicated workforce calls the local area home, creating a strong sense of belonging.We're looking for a safety-focused, outgoing individual who values building relationships and understands the importance of creating a safe, collaborative, site environment.We're open to candidates from various backgrounds and will consider anyone with prior safety experience in a heavy industry environment.You'll play a pivotal role as the primary safety contact on-site, collaborating closely with the CHPP Manager and the broader team.Primary Duties:
  • Providing guidance and support to all site employees in effectively implementing fundamental HSE processes, including Job Safety Observations (JSOs), risk management, fitness for work, manual handling, and more.
  • Develop and deliver relevant HSE materials to operational leaders, such as educational resources, safety statistics, and audit findings.
  • Oversee HSE Management Plans site-wide for safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and joint venture partners to establish, implement, and review HSE requirements regularly.
  • Assess HSE performance to identify critical issues and develop mitigation strategies accordingly.
  • Provide on-site assistance for incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Assist the site leadership team in identifying training needs to maintain high training compliance levels.
Who are you?
  • Previous experience in a role involving safety responsibilities is essential.
  • Flexibility to work on-site daily and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Reside in or near Upper Hunter Valley, NSW, or willing to relocate.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of delivering messages with clarity and conviction
