About the opportunity
People and Culture is seeking a Human Relations Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Senior Leaders to drive people programs and initiatives for the Asset Management and Operations business unit. The Asset Management and Operations business units is an exciting new business unit which manages some of SA Power Networks largest and most complex assets.
The HRBP will report to the HR Business Relationships and Services Manager and you will be responsible for partnering with the Asset Management and Operations business unit to support the delivery and implementation of the People Strategy, people plans and the annual HR program of work. The HRBP also plays an important role in seeking out value-add, people-related initiatives that contributes to supporting a high-performing, connected, inclusive and engaged workforce.
You are someone who has significant and demonstrated experience in roles where you are partnering with and presenting to Senior Leaders and with your proven skills and expertise, able to identify and provide solutions to complex challenges that commonly arise in business units of deep operations, asset strategy, asset investment, asset operations, engineering and/or program delivery. You have a strong understanding of technically-orientated business units and comfortable working with Enterprise agreements.
Under the direction of and working closely with the HR Business Relationships and Servies Manager you will support an holistic HR approach to the annual plan and will contribute to and lead a number of critical and large HR programs that span the employee life cycle.
The HRBP will effectively :
- Build strong and trusted relationships to support the delivery of both operational matters and strategic plans to COO and Senior Leaders within the Asset Management and Operations business unit;
- Work closely with the HR Business Relationships and Services Manager to support the delivery of talent and succession, workforce planning, culture, engagement and development, employee and leadership development, people program development and capability, program facilitation and performance alignment plans, initiatives, processes and projects;
- Provide guidance and advice to leaders on a range of complex HR matters (both operational and strategic);
- Identify opportunities for value add and continuous improvements people initiatives that align to a holistic HR approach;
- Partner with the HR specialist teams to support the resolution of tactical and operational issues and delivery of assigned projects.
- When applicable, responsible for proactive and efficient management of performance management (including PPR/ADP processes), case management, restructuring and IR/ER investigations for the business.
You will have :
- A bachelor's degree in in Human Resources, Psychology or related field and/or relevant experience.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in large and complex technically oriented and/or deep operational business units.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with Senior Leader and be willing to challenge the status quo.
- Experience in guiding employees through transitions and fostering a positive attitude towards change.
- Ability to negotiate, influence and analyse quantitative and qualitative information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Continuous commitment to staying updated on HR best practices and have a demonstrated knowledge and application of fair work legislation, industrial awards and legislation.
