Solo Resource Recovery is a family owned and operated business, supplying waste removal and recycling services throughout Australia for over 90 years. Our HR Department currently consists of a team of three, with an overall Company wide staff base of 750 employees. An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This position is full time, and based at our Head Office in Chinderah, Northern NSW.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will work as part of the team on tasks such as:
- Assisting with the recruitment process from advertising through to employee offer stage inc booking and review of pre employment medicals;
- Employee onboarding/offboarding;
- Preparation of Employment Contracts and other employee documentation;
- Casual Conversion processes;
- Preparation of disciplinary documentation;
- Annual award increases;
- Periodic reporting as required;
- Support the HR manager with IR matters as required;
- Assist with maintaining HR policies and procedures, updating guidelines as needed;
- Assist with the lodgement of Workcover Claims when required;
- Assist with other general HR duties as required.
To be successful in this role you must possess:
- Relevant work-related experience in a generalist HR role (although not essential, a qualification in HR will be highly regarded);
- the ability to work across multiple awards and State legislation;
- A friendly, team focused attitude;
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
- Ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Ability to problem solve;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; and
- Solid computer literacy skills.
