Role Objectives
Embark on an exciting journey with LVMH Beauty as our Assistant Human Resources Manager - Retail based in Sydney. This integral role collaborates closely with the Human Resources Team to drive and deliver key HR objectives for our dynamic Retail Team. You will play a pivotal role in executing strategies to meet business challenges, ensuring optimal Human Resources and Payroll support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Partnering:
- Provide robust, timely, and specialist advice to the Retail Team, addressing complex organizational issues.
Recruitment:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job advertisements to contract preparation.
- Conduct reference checks and immigration checks, ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to track recruitment status.
Administration and Team Collaboration:
- Lead HR projects related to the Retail Team.
- Assist in budget preparation and validation for Retail Team.
- Collaborate with Human Resources Team on various initiatives and events.
Learning and Development:
- Develop capability in Retail Team, focusing on award compliance, effective rostering, and immigration compliance.
- Facilitate training and development on relevant systems and platforms.
Payroll:
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and timely onboarding of new employees.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and provide advice on payroll compliance.
Engagement:
- Participate in Retail Career Fairs and LVMH Group projects.
- Contribute to EVP and attraction/retention strategies for the Retail team.
Experience, Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Ideally minimum of twelve months experience in an HR related role
- Ideally previous experience working in a Retail environment with exposure to awards and rostering
- Experience with interpretation and application of multiple awards and agreements (including General Retail Industry Award, Hair and Beauty Industry Award, and Storage Services and Wholesale Award)
- Interest in Generalist Human Resources, preferably in the Retail industry.
- High emotional intelligence, strong work ethic, and openness to learning.
- Strong numerical, organizational, and PC skills (including Microsoft Excel).
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment conditions, awards, payroll, and Australian/New Zealand employment law.
