AddressWe are looking for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join a highly rated independent workshop located in Innisfail. Light Vehicle qualified Technicians, with exposure to heavy vehicles will also be considered.
With a population of just over 7,000 people, Innisfail is a prosperous, colourful town, situated on the North and South Johnstone Rivers, and is surrounded by rich green landscape. Lush sugar plantations flow from the dense rainforest coastline to the thick jungles of the Palmerston National Park to the west.
The role reports to the Workshop Manager. Team commitment, health and safety, a positive attitude is desired in addition to the following.
Role Requirements for the Heavy Vehicle Technician; (including but not limited to):
- Efficiently & effectively attend to the repair & maintenance of a variety of heavy vehicles.
- Possess excellent diagnostic abilities.
- Build positive relationships with fellow staff.
- Willing to assist and develop the knowledge of technicians/apprentices.
- Complete service reports
- Cert 3 Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Technician
- Ability to listen, comprehend and follow through on instructions.
- Ability to use good communication both in the written and verbal form.
- Strong time management skills
- Full Australian working rights.
- Productive & efficient work habits with little to no re-work
- Current Drivers Licence – HR licence desired but not essential
