As our continued growth opens up new possibilities our client a Tier 1 mechanical contractor specialising in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Technician to join their team in a full time capacity.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an exceptional HVAC Commissioning Technician with relevant ARCtick License and trade/tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Refrigeration preferred. The ideal candidate will have a current open electrical license or restricted electrical license and previous experience in a similar role, particularly relating to building management systems or mechanical services commissioning. NEBB accreditation or Cert IV in testing and balancing would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will oversee the commissioning of small to medium installations and supervise subcontract teams on larger projects. Your role will involve ensuring a smooth transition from construction completion to project handover.
Responsibilities:
- Commission small to medium installations and supervise subcontract teams on larger projects.
- Ensure installations meet project specifications and performance requirements.
- Conduct testing and balancing activities to ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
- Oversee the transition from construction completion to project handover.
- Maintain accurate documentation of commissioning activities and results.
- Relevant ARCtick License.
- Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical or Refrigeration preferred.
- Current open electrical license or restricted electrical license preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in building management systems or mechanical services commissioning.
- NEBB accreditation or Cert IV in testing and balancing.
- Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage subcontract teams.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
