- About You
- Capability to check and review work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in work delivered to the client
- Excellent client relationship management and project Management experience
- Excellent communication and organisation, report writing skills
- Experience of InfoWorks ICM, WS Pro and/or DHI (MIKE URBAN, MIKE +) Epanet or other similar modelling software
- Robust experience with GIS platforms
- Ability to be a team player and develop relationships at all levels, including worldwide with our Mott MacDonald offices.
- Interest in developing innovative and digital approaches to modelling, and ability to rapidly learn new technologies. Knowledge of Python/Ruby is advantageous.

Mott MacDonald is a dynamic and innovative engineering, management and development consultancy working with high profile clients across Australia and globally. We work to bring together natural processes and natural flood management into a unified Catchment Management approach. We bring a technical ability that spans from pluvial to fluvial hydraulics, coastal and groundwater modelling, and planning analysis for increasing catastrophic events.
Our work contributes to inform decisions, provide detailed quantification of flood risk, and contribute toward design of more efficient and sustainable mitigation measures.
The opportunity
We are searching for a Hydraulic Modeller to join our growing water team in Adelaide. You will work alongside our teams of civil engineers, digital designers, and project managers. Our portfolio includes three-waters modelling, planning and design studies within Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Europe including the United Kingdom through Mott MacDonald's international modelling community.
You will be responsible for:
- Working directly with our clients in solving their challenges to service the forecasted population growth by offering innovative approaches
- Leading the technical aspects of water and wastewater modelling and planning studies
- Being a part of an internationally connected team that actively pushes the development of digital technology in modelling and engineering design
- Contributing to three waters modelling: stormwater, water supply, and wastewater networks, with a focus on the latest innovations
- Applying your hydraulic modelling experience in InfoWorks (ICM, WS Pro), DHI (MIKE URBAN, MIKE+), Epanet or other similar software
