- A full-time permanent position based in our Perth CBD office, Western Australia with 120 to 150 days per year offshore.
MMA Offshore has an opportunity for a Survey Party Chief to join our fast growing Subsea Services Survey division. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Survey & Inspection, this role will coordinate and execute survey operations offshore, assist Project Managers in project preparation and coordinating offshore activities and ensure the technical survey delivery matches the commercial requirements of the project.
The successful candidate will currently hold or be close to attaining, SSSI AHSCP Level 1 certification. You will join a professional team delivering projects across a full range of survey disciplines, including offshore construction support, inspection services, windfarm geophysics, LBL acoustics and Hydrographic HIPP surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the integrity and quality control of all survey technical deliverables (method statements, work instructions, project procedures, project reports, calculations drawings) in compliance with MMA offshore procedures and contract requirements.
- Responsible for day to day coordination of allocated offshore projects including: technical review of client requirements, survey data preparation (including all operational and QA documentation), survey data QC, including all field reports, responsible for generation and QC of final report and client deliverables, assist project manager in controlling project costs, install, interface, configure, calibrate and ensure the continual operation of survey equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement, research, development and technical advancement of MMA Subsea Services assets, equipment, systems and processes ensuring increased efficiency in project delivery.
- Lead by example demonstrating that safety is paramount in the workplace and comply and lead all HSEQ policies, procedures and instructions.
- Bachelor Degree level qualification in either a Hydrographic Surveying, Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering degree.
- Completion of Party Chief competencies or equivalent as per IMCA requirements (desirable)
- GCA Geospatial Council of Australia - Hydrographic Surveyors Certification Panel (AHSCP) Level 1 Certification (desirable)
- 7+ years of offshore field experience
- 3+ years of Party Chief, project or operational management experience
- Demonstrated safety awareness
- Relevant leadership experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Offshore surveying software packages and equipment
- Demonstrate analytical capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional planning and organisations skills
