Located in New Town, the unit provides services on a state-wide basis to the Archdiocese, CatholicCare Tasmania, Parishes, Centacare Evolve Housing and St Joseph Affordable Homes.
We are currently searching for a fulltime ICT Systems Application and Systems Officer for a 12-month contract covering Parental Leave, reporting to the ICT Manager this role is responsible for the implementation, operations, and improvements of applications and Systems across the Archdiocese of Hobart.
If you have worked within Schools, Councils or other organisations using your diverse skills and experience with Active Directory, SharePoint, and Intune this may be the position for you.
This role is integral to our support and application services. You will assist with the development and support of systems, applications, risk mitigation and automation. Improving the overall effective and efficient management of information access state-wide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with secure design implementation and effective delivery of applications, and server systems across the Archdiocese of Hobart’ network.
- Implement and administer Entra cloud applications and services.
- Assist with Implementation of Information systems to enhance data integrity, accessibility, communication, and automation.
- Provide quality analysis and reports on business processes, problem identification and testing systems.
- Communicate clearly with Stakeholders, identifying scope and project requirements.
- Advice and participate in technology teams/projects developing, configuring, and deployment of technology solutions.
- Discuss issues and appropriate recommendations with the ICT Manager on information security, integrity, and performance actions.
What can you bring to us?
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, information Technology or demonstrated relevant work experience of 3+ years.
- Sound technical knowledge of Active Directory, Window Servers, SharePoint, Intune and Entra.
- Established written technical skills for documenting planning and work completed.
- Aptitude and desire to provide proactive customer service.
- Relevant IT technical certifications e.g. Microsoft/Azure Certifications. (desirable)
- Critical thinking and analysis of client and operational issues based on sound experience and knowledge.
- Ability and willingness to undertake the relevant employee screening processes, including the provision of a National Police Criminal History Check satisfactory to the Archdiocese of Hobart and registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania).
