About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, experienced, and organised ICT Service Desk Assistant, to join our team and provide logistical and technical support to the ICT team, whilst providing support to end users throughout Uniting. The position will assist the ICT team with the management of computer helpdesk tasks, and mobile phone hardware, and supplier arrangements.
Responsibilities includes:
- Providing support with the distribution and installation of IT hardware and software as directed by the Manager ICT.
- Providing level one face to face and telephone Help Desk Support.
- Imaging computers with software packages to be distributed to staff depending on requirements.
- Maintaining computer systems and peripherals by installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware: Lenovo and Fuji Xerox.
- Maintaining hardware asset database.
- Providing support in the deployment and maintenance of computer infrastructure and the diagnosis and resolution of technical problems or issues.
- Using Azure Active Directory: administration of user accounts, creation, maintenance, and deletion.
- Using of Exchange Online: creation, maintenance, and deletion of user accounts.
- Supporting administration of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online.
- Assisting with the management of mobile phones across the business and the maintenance of the mobile phone registry using vendor portal and InTune, MDM.
- Level 1 systems administration tasks for Uniting WA client systems.
- Actively document fixes and solutions.
- Working collaboratively with ICT team and wider Uniting community.
- Working out of hours when required, including participation in on-call duties.
About you
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide outstanding customer service with:
- Efficient prioritisation of helpdesk tasks.
- Ability to liaise with mobile phone providers for the purpose of activation and housekeeping of contracted phones.
- Strong time management skills and experience in hardware and software troubleshooting and other IT matters.
- Experience working with Azure Active and Exchange Online, specifically: creation, maintenance, and deletion of user accounts, would be highly regarded.
- Maintenance of User Groups and organisational Units
- Administration of user accounts
- Implement appropriate permission requests.
