- Lead and manage ACIC ICT projects, contributing to the ACIC’s strategic outcomes and objectives, in accordance with corporate standards for project management and ensure projects integrate with the ACIC’s business.
- Document and manage the start-up, initiation, delivery and closure of projects in accordance with corporate project management standards, which are based upon PRINCE2.
- Develop and/or update Business Cases for large and complex ICT projects.
- Develop and maintain an accurate project schedule and deliver products according to the schedule.
- Develop and maintain the project budget, and track costs and expenditure to deliver the project within tolerances.
- Manage scope, quality, risk and issue management processes to ensure outcomes are delivered.
- Identify, acquire and manage project staff and provide effective direction and leadership to the project team.
- Engage with an extensive array of stakeholders on any given project. The role is required to initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with:
- Manage procurement and contracts for one or more vendors and manage complex issues.
- Formally attend project and program board meetings, prepare reports, advice and recommendations for presentation at more senior governance forums as required.
- Have and apply a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and theories as they relate to effective project management, with particular regard to PRINCE2 methodologies, together with the ability to apply these within ACIC.
- Experience with data quality projects would be desirable.
