Position Objective:
The ICT Strategy Activation & Delivery Support Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing operations and delivery of
new ICT initiatives aligned with the Client's ICT Strategy. This role involves project management, business analysis, and end-user training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Plan, implement, and facilitate projects outlined in the Client's ICT Strategy Roadmap.
- Maintain realistic project plans and ensure regular and accurate communication with stakeholders.
- Prepare contract documentation for tendering and project evaluation.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks to project success.
- Monitor and maintain financial records for compliance and audit.
- Contribute to financial planning and budgeting.
- Collect data and stakeholder feedback to understand business processes and determine requirements for ICT systems.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend options, implementing changes if required.
- Prepare business cases defining potential benefits, options, and associated risks.
- Develop business readiness plans considering IT deployment, data migration, and training activities.
- Assess readiness levels of IT users, uncover gaps, and implement action plans.
- Provide training to end users and administrators.
- Monitor benefits against business case predictions.

- Authority delegated by the Client or the Chief Executive Officer.
- Authority to work within the scope of the position description.
Internal: Chief Executive Officer, Director Corporate & Community Services, Manex Team, Finance Manager
External: Other local government entities, government departments, and agency staff.

- Create and register records into paper and/or electronic systems.
- Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and training courses.
- Observe Council's Risk Management Policy and procedures.
- Take reasonable steps to reduce identified risks.
- Undertake appropriate medical treatment for work-related injuries.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of a Return-to-Work Program.
- Ensure compliance with the Employee Code of Conduct and Council policies.
- Understand and comply with internal policies, external legislation, and legal requirements.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and external stakeholders.
- Promote a positive image of Client's in dealings with the community.
- Commit to changes in technology and participate in training for continuous improvement.
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related ICT discipline.
- ICT project management experience and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving, financial management, and tracking skills.
- Vendor and contract management experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills.
- Project management qualifications/certifications (ITIL Certification).
- Performance to be appraised annually by the Director Corporate & Community Services.
