As an Immigration Advisor at Fortescue, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all aspects of visa and work permit requirements for our employees. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of immigration policies and procedures, and effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate, coordinate, and manage the entire visa and work permit application process for employees
Stay updated on immigration regulations, ensuring compliance with local laws and policies
Gather, review, and prepare all necessary documentation for visa and work permit applications
Collaborate with employees and departments to ensure accurate and complete submission of required materials
Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government agencies and immigration authorities
Communicate effectively to address inquiries, resolve issues, and stay informed about changes in immigration laws
Work closely with HR, legal, and other relevant departments to obtain necessary information for immigration processes
Provide regular updates to employees on the status of their visa/work permit applications
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations
Generate and maintain accurate records and reports related to visa and work permit activities
Address and resolve issues or challenges related to visa and work permit applications promptly and efficiently
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in immigration coordination or a related role.
Registered Migration Agent advantageous
In-depth knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in document preparation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
