ABOUT THE ROLES
Our dynamic Immunisation team are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Immunisation Nurses to provide high-quality care to the South Gippsland community.
You will play a pivotal role committed to ensuring the wellbeing of the community through proactive measures by containing and reducing the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases. You will be experienced in providing immunisation advice according to the recommended National Immunisation Program Schedule and ensure a high quality of service following the Guidelines for Immunisation Practice in Local Government and the Australian Immunisation Handbook (current edition).
A number of positions are available including:
Lead Immunisation Nurse
- 2 days per week (15.2 hours per week) (0.4 FTE)
- Ongoing position
- Base salary Maternal Child Health Nurse Year 2: $36,309.50 + Qualification Allowance + Coordinator Allowance + Superannuation
Immunisation Nurse
- 3.8 hours per week (0.1 FTE)
- Ongoing position
- Base salary Immunisation Nurse Year 1: $8,888.34 per annum + Qualification Allowance + Superannuation
Casual Immunisation Nurse
- As required during immunisation sessions
- Casual base hourly rate Immunisation Nurse Year 1: $56.23 + Qualification Allowance + 25% casual loading + Superannuation
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the above roles, you will:
- Be a registered Nurse with the AHPRA.
- Be an accredited Nurse Immuniser.
- Have experience in the administration of vaccinations to children, adolescents and adults.
- Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different backgrounds.
- Experience with CIRV, AIR and other software programs as required (or willing to be trained).
- Have good written skills.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Victorian Drivers Licence and ability to drive.
- Satisfactory Police Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Undertake a pre-employment Medical or Functional Assessment.
