THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Managing Director (MD) this role will support all import related functions across a portfolio of products.
- Supporting the MD in planning, researching, and identifying new suppliers and products.
- Assisting in end-to-end new product development, including ideation, market research, concept development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing planning, and creating Master File Data.
- Managing offshore team members, contracted personnel (quality control, 3D rendering, IT), establishing production and quality control priorities, and arranging consolidated shipments to meet supply schedules.
- Providing administrative support, managing product samples, maintaining Non-Conformance Record (NCR) files, maintaining product data.
- Responding to product administration queries, participating in projects, and supporting special sample orders.
- High level stakeholder engagement and relationship building with overseas suppliers to deliver quality outcomes for our local customers.
You will be a highly organised, process driven individual who is looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a b2b or high-volume import/export or production related environment
- Excellent communication skills, high level of attention to detail and exposure to managing stakeholders within a global remit.
- Process driven and tech savvy, proven experience within the MS Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP
- Potential availability to travel internationally.
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin
- Work close to home, showroom and head office located in Mulgrave.
