About Us:

Wiseway Logistics (WWG) is an ASX listed fast growing international freight forwarding company, with eight offices Australia wide, and international footprint in New Zealand, China, Singapore, and USA. We are a licensed customs broker with custom bonded warehouses. 

Due to expansion in workload, we are seeking an experienced Imports Officer to join our Imports team in Thomastown, Melbourne on a full-time basis. Your role will predominately be working in our expanding e-Commerce sector where you’ll be given coaching in our industry leading IT software.

The Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with clients (nationally and internationally), carriers, ABF and AQIS & e-commerce platforms. 
  • Managing, compiling, and processing all import documentation, including assisting with customs and quarantine paperwork.
  • Communicating with transnational clients to organise efficient and on-time freight transportation. 
  • Managing client enquiries and handling customer feedback/complaints in a timely manner
  • Lodging Air/Sea cargo automation
  • Lodging Outturn report
  • Co-coordinating with clients and internal staff
  • Cargo delivery arrangement 
  • Support custom brokers
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy and compliance obligations
  • Follow procedures and communicate effectively with internal and external team.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required by management.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Proficient in Mandarin (ESSENTIAL)
  • At least 1 year freight forwarding or logistics experience 
  • Service oriented and strong customer-focus approach
  • Good customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good time management
  • Accurate and fast data entry skills
  • Excellent communication (in Mandarin & English)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting workload
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer usage
  • EDI experience (Desirable)
