You will be required to assist with a wide range of supports such as:
- Support clients with Intellectual Disabilities, Spinal Injuries, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, ASD, & OCD with high and complex care needs
- Support with all aspects of daily living, including but not restricted to personal care, associated light domestic assistance, home help, meal preparation, community access
- Respond to the clients needs and collaborate positively with their families, key stakeholders and other important people in their lives.
- Maintenance of accurate and complete case notes
Our preferred candidate:
- Emotionally aware, resilient and responsive to the changing needs of the client;
- A positive attitude and proactive approach to problem solving;
- Strong time management skills;
- Experience with technology and reporting software including smartphones, tablets, laptops;
- Genuine and reliable with respect for the client's individual choices;
- Respect the client's privacy and maintain strict client confidentiality;
- Be capable in a physically demanding role; lifting, bending, carrying, crouching etc and;
- Experience with direct personal care is preferable
The non-negotiables:
To be successful in this role we are looking for candidates who ideally have a cert III in Individual Support or equivalent experience, bringing transferable skills, and the following attributes:
- First Aid/ CPR
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (yellow card & blue card) or eligibility to apply for these
- Current Open Drivers Licence
- Own Reliable Vehicle
- Full comprehensive car insurance and current car registration (must be able to provide documents)
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module or completion of Module before you commence working with us
- Availability to work across multiple types of shifts, specifically sleepover shifts for our 24/7 clients
