Our client is a Queensland Government statutory authority and this multi-disciplinary team of highly knowledgeable experts provide a wide range of legal services. The well organised legal team focuses on front end contracting and agreements.
This position is an initial six month contract that may be extended.
As a Legal Counsel, you’ll make an impact through:
- Providing advice on a wide range of matters including all aspects of legal risks including the provision of legal advice, contract negotiation, day-to-day advice on transactions, advising on legislation requirements, providing advice on development of new initiatives.
- Running prosecution matters with assistance from external counsel.
- Maintaining a contracts register.
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and procurement processes, including Queensland Information Technology Contracts (QITC).
- Assessing and advising on the impact of regulation and new legislation on processes to ensure continuous compliance.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders.
The role will suit candidates with 3+ years' PAE gained either in private practice or in-house. A full PD is available on request.
The successful candidate will have access to wellbeing programs, capability and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements and more. This team can work up to 3 days from home and the weekly hours are 36.5 per week. The salary is circa an A06.1 level which is $114,626 plus 12.75% superannuation.
