Our Client is a Global Manufacturer & Distributor, providing quality of medical supplies & solutions internationally. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Inbound Warehouse Supervisor located in Marsden Park
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Inbound Warehouse Supervisor will primarily be responsible for managing all inbound & putaway activities, planning and sales in the mission of order fullfillment. Working within a modern, state of the art, fast paced environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee Processing of all inbound shipments - these are to be managed along existing KPI timelines
- Oversee the processing of all outbound Sea container shipments to interstate & export locations & coordinate delivery of shipping containers as per the schedules dispatch date
- Oversee Inbound Container Transportation in accordance with pre-arranged schedules
- Provide support to inventory controller & manage inventory accuracy performance of staff, through adherence to company SOPs and assistance in cycle counting.
- Recommend procedural changes for WHS & manages risk in partnership with the Warehouse Manager through the active participation of risk assessments if and when required
- Direct point of contact for the Planning team on the processing of priority shipments inbound and received into the WMS and ensuring accuracy with inbound documentations prior to shipment arriving.
- Working closely with the authoring and recording of warehouse work instructions, procedures and safe work practices. Cross audits these practices periodically.
- Manages the warehouse team to ensure the accurate and efficient execution of their duties against company goals and metrics.
- Ensures adherence to the company’s housekeeping and 5S/Lean programs. Promotes the importance of these programs to their direct reports. Assists in the undertaking of periodic 5S/Lean audits across the DC as required.
- Conducts/organizes training and coaching of the warehouse staff in areas of Inbound/Outbound procedures and work instructions.
- Provides assistance/support to the NSW WH Manager & National Operations Manager as required, in functions and Operational projects internal and external to the Inbound/Outbound Operations.
Skills & Experience Required
- Warehouse Supervisory experience
- Experience in a modern DC utilising common technologies (RF, voice, light, etc)
- Experience in operational improvement methodologies (Lean, TQM, Six Sigma).
- Ability to manage people, including providing objectives to staff and measurement against those objectives.
- Strong understanding of WHS principles and an uncompromising attitude toward promoting and ensuring a safe workplace for all staff and visitors to the site.
- Ability to work in a team. An active contributor in warehouse management meetings.
- Ability to analyse data and investigate issues that may be identified out of that
- Tertiary qualifications in warehouse management will be highly regarded
- Valid LF forklift license
