Position: Inclusion Capability SpecialistCommencing Date: 8 April 2024Salary Range: $89,634 - $118,368 per annumTenure: Full Time, Permanent Closing Date: Monday, 3 March 2024 unless filled prior Townsville Catholic Education (TCE) is currently seeking an experienced Inclusion Capability Specialist to support school leadership and Inclusive Practice Teachers (IPTs) in enhancing their inclusive education practice. During school vacation periods the Inclusion Capability Specialist will not be required to work at school, except in defined extenuating circumstances.About YouProven experience in designing and delivering adult learning programs and professional development sessions, with a focus on building leaders and educators' capacity in inclusive education practices.Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and principles, with the ability to apply these concepts to program and resource development.Highly developed interpersonal communication and human relations skills in dealing with a range of professionals including professionals from other agencies and organisations.Proven capacity to develop and implement inclusive education programs and associated strategies and services to support the diverse needs of students.Strong knowledge of contemporary inclusive education principles, best practices, and relevant legislation.Strong understanding of the principles and strategies for building capability, including assessing current capabilities, setting improvement goals, and monitoring progress.Knowledge and understanding of adult learning techniques and their effective implementation.Knowledge of student disability and how it impacts the teaching, learning and school setting.Mandatory CriteriaFull professional registration (for example, full registration as a teacher in Queensland)Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government – exemption for AHPRA or OCT Registration.Current Driver’s LicenceAbility to travel from time to time within the Townsville DioceseAbility to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.Desirable CriteriaCurrent/recent experience in a school level Inclusion role (Inclusive Practice Teacher role or equivalent) is highly desirable.
