Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inclusive Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team in Term 2. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education, intervention strategies, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. The Inclusive Education Teacher will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, implementing effective interventions, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure student success.This is a new and exciting role supporting our students and collaborating with staff in the important years of transition from Year 6 into Senior School. This role will initially support students and staff in Year 6 to Year 7, engaging in both extension of students and students requiring additional structures and supports in their learning. This is a role for someone who is passionate about growing the strengths of all individuals in this crucial learning and development stage. This position is being offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of Term 4 2024. Key ResponsibilitiesThese include but are not limited to:Planning a developmentally appropriate educational program which fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each student.Develop and implement effective learning interventions based on student assessments.Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure coordinated efforts in meeting student needs.Provide small group instruction and differentiated teaching strategies to address specific learning challenges.Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.Monitor the progress of identified students through the development of Documented Plans and analysis of relevant data.Selection Criteria:The successful applicant must:Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current educational issues.Have an understanding and awareness of issues related to children’s development, education and pastoral needs.Demonstrated success in implementing effective learning interventions for students with diverse needs.Strong understanding of learning disabilities, differentiated instruction, and evidence-based intervention strategies.Be creative and willing to move beyond a comfort zone and inspire.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues.Demonstrate highly developed planning and organisational skills.Be creative, enthusiastic and innovative.Demonstrate current a passion for primary years education.Essential Requirements:Hold a current TRBWA registration.Current Working with Children Check and the right to work in Australia. Relevant teaching qualifications.Proven experience as a Learning Intervention Teacher or in a similar role.
