Salary $74,130.68 (Pro-Rata) + Super + Flexible Working

The Role
The Inclusive Employment Program is designed to provide temporary workplace opportunities and experience for local people who face barriers to employment, for a duration of six months. To apply for this position, you must live within the City of Whittlesea municipality, and you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • People from Culturally or Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds
  • First Nations People
  • People living with disability
  • Older people unable to find suitable employment
  • Residents who may be experiencing hardship

The Early Years Program Support Facilitator role is a newly created position within the Access and Engagement unit of the Children & Families Department.
This position aims to:
  • Work with the Best Start facilitator to engage with Kindergartens and families across the municipality to maximise Early Start Kindergarten and Kindergarten attendance and other Early Years services and programs.
  • Increase Kindergarten enrolments for three and four-year-old children (including practical support with enrolment) through promotion of Free Kinder initiative and Early Start Kindergarten
  • Support engagement of families into other early childhood programs and services in their local area, for example Playgroups and Maternal and Child Health.

We are looking for an individual who is aiming to develop their skills in working in partnership with stakeholders, has good interpersonal skills and a passion for the Early Years.
