The role leads the Design, development and implementation of application integrations, data streaming and API-led solutions for council, adhering to standards, framework and patterns.
As part of their responsibilities, the person in this position will be accountable for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of application integration and data streaming platforms, in addition to deployed solutions. They will also focus on enhancing and preserving a robust DevOps framework and tools to accelerate the delivery of integration solutions. Furthermore, the incumbent will create solutions or bespoke applications that centre around automating repetitive manual administrative tasks for the Council.
Other responsibilities include:
- Developing Integration Layer (Dell-Boomi - Middleware) Coding software connectors and messaging across API's or other forms of systems data communication.
- Accountability for delivering new/improved technology services to customers
- Providing technical expertise in integration and development.
- Perform a variety of programming or development tasks, such as designing, documenting, coding program logic and building bespoke applications functions where required.
- Engaging with Application Administrators to ensure the resolution of systems or application support issues with vendors or third-party service providers
- Identifying and apply best practices for new or existing technology capabilities
- Maintaining and manage changes to the integration framework
- Utilising a good knowledge of SQL to perform data and data base analysis, design integration level data bases and develop data dictionaries, and data models
We are looking for an individual with a tertiary level qualification in Computer Science or relevant industry recognised certification with several years of subsequent experience in a similar role or a higher qualification with lesser experience with lesser qualifications with extensive experience commensurate to the role. Additionally, relevant experience and accreditations for the full Microsoft development stack.
The successful candidate will have a Demonstrated experience and substantial working knowledge in Microsoft Azure and Boomi integration platforms. As well as extensive development/ administration experience across Microsoft.
The following is also required:
- Strong working experience with DELL Boomi and other iPaaS Platforms and strong experience with API development and management - interconnection of SaaS and on-premise
- Strong knowledge of IT working across multiple platforms or technologies, including the inter-
- Experience in troubleshooting, software development processes, and ability to understand and
- Good knowledge of and demonstrated practice of project management methodologies.
- High level written and verbal communication skills
