The Fundraising and Communications Division is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Council maintains a visible, engaging presence in the community; and to inspire and activate support from Victorians.
This is achieved through best-practice high volume direct marketing approaches; exceptional relationship management of high value supporters including major donors, charitable foundations, corporate partners and Gifts in Wills supporters; delivery of iconic fundraising events; and product sales and royalties through our retail arm.
The Individual and Community Giving Unit is responsible for Cancer Council Victoria’s mass market fundraising activities to increase supporter contributions annually and secure long-term income. Working across multiple digital and offline channels and campaigns, the unit comprises direct marketing appeals, regular giving, peer-to-peer, community engagement and retail revenue streams.
About the opportunityWe are looking for an Individual Giving Coordinator to join our highly engaged team. You will be fully immersed in the world of digital fundraising, with a strong focus on acquisition, regular giving and retention. Working alongside the Individual Giving team under the guidance of the Individual Giving Manager and Individual Giving Lead, you will support managing the development and implementation of the Individual Giving strategy to grow our supporters and income.
Your role is to:
- Deliver on the Individual Giving Growth Strategy with particular focus on digital acquisition, telemarketing and regular giving
- Work closely with the Individual Giving team to grow and nurture a successful regular giving program
- Manage campaigns to acquire new supporters, increase sustainable new income streams in digital and offline channels and deliver strategic KPIs.
- Develop and manage integrated fundraising campaigns across multiple channels using data driven insights to drive growth, efficiencies and innovation.
We are looking for someone with:
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as fundraising, marketing, communications, commerce, or demonstrated transferable skills in a similar role.
- Demonstrated understanding of fundraising principles, segmentation tools and their implementation and motivations for giving
- Experience in digital acquisition campaigns, retention and acquisition growth and telemarketing
- Great with data and analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision-making.
- Results focussed with the ability to manage a broad workload, with a focus on delivering key day-to-day tasks while working towards the big picture.
- A base salary of $69k-$76k plus superannuation and salary packaging
