As our Mail Sorting Officer, you’ll be working at a Delivery Centre where you’ll be responsible for manually sorting parcels and working on the hatch serving customers. You’ll play a key role in providing a vital service to our local community every single day. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that!
You’ll be
- Working efficiently individually or in a team to manually sort mail and parcels into PO boxes
- Lifting and handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly
- Serving customers that attend the hatch to collect their parcels
- Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and despatch large volume of mail
- Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development
About you
- You are flexible with working additional hours if required
- You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory
How we’ll deliver for you
- Salary for this role is up to $57,018 pro rata and any additional penalties depending on your shift time, plus 12% Superannuation per annum
