who both had the same vision to see
the community receive the help and support
they want and need as working in the community
they both saw a Void that needed to be filled
as our Mob were falling through the Cracks.
Indigeekare had a view to focus on
NDIS,
Justice,
Cultural Mentoring,
Age Care
and youth groups.

Role Des cription
This is a casual hybrid role as a Disability Support Worker for Indigeekare Services based in Wodonga, Victoria. The role involves various duties such as providing support to people with disabilities in their daily routine, enhancing their social skills, work, and independent living skills. The support worker will also assist with personal care, medication, and transport. The role is in an organization that respects diversity, and offers a flexible work policy that allows for remote work with a certain amount of supervision, indicating that teamwork remains a focal point.
Qualifications
A Certificate III or above in Disability Support or any other related qualification
The ability to provide assistance with personal care, medication, hygiene, and other daily routine activities
The ability to maintain a healthy and safe environment which encourages independence and social interaction for people with a range of disabilities
The ability to support clients in work, social, and educational environments
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Familiarity with NDIS guidelines and policies for Support Workers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, which will be used to promote social and emotional support to the clients
Familiarity with community services, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
The ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and various stakeholders
