Due to a strong growth curve, we are looking for an experienced Abrasive Blaster and Coatings applicator looking to lead the team in Illawarra’s leading specialist coating company.
Chemcote Specialty Coatings is a company that specialises in solution driven corrosion prevention in large and small projects in the power generation, manufacturing and facilities maintenance industries.
Our workshop based application team also conducts site and shut down work with it's main focus being the refurbishment of equipment. Our strong customer focus drives us to deliver value and reliability to new and existing customers.
A typical day in this role would include:
- Leading the team for the successful completion of the job.
- Abrasive blasting, mechanical preparation, high pressure washing and coatings application.
- Refurbishment of pumps, pipes and tanks.
- Flexibly prioritising workload to meet schedules.
- Handling, mixing and application of fibreglass, glassflake and epoxy coating systems.
- Completion of quality documentation and reports to hand over to our clients.
Desired Skills and Experience Include:
- Experience leading a team
- EWP & Forklift High Risk
- Working In a Confined Space
- Working at Heights required
- Trade i.e Cert III in Surface prep and coating application or NACE Qualified
- Coating inspection experience desirable
- Good written and communication skills (English)
The role will be well remunerated, based on level of experience and match to the roles key requirements.
