Intercast & Forge is Australia’s largest Independent Iron Foundry and market leader in its industry sector, supplying Australian and global rail, automotive and general engineering industries from our Adelaide production facility.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Follow all safety instructions, including written, verbal, and safety signage, work in a safe manner, and report any injuries, incident, hazards or opportunities for improvement as soon as possible.
- Complete the daily maintenance schedule to ensure all amenities are kept in a clean and hygienic state.
- Ensure the cleaners weekly housekeeping checklist is completed in full and advise the QSE Manager of any tasks that are unable to be completed or additional resources that may be required.
- Order, control and maintain stock of cleaning agents and materials ensuring they are in accordance with our environmental procedures.
- Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning agents, including reading of all relevant SDS’s
- Work with department supervisors in the ordering and trial of any new safety equipment
- Cleaning of mobile equipment as directed by cleaning schedule or QSE Manager.
- Ensure all persons in area of responsibility work in a safe manner.
- Responsibility for the correct disposal of waste and assistance in identifying opportunities for waste reduction.
- Other tasks as required by supervisor.
Skills & Experience:
- Forklift licence essential
- Skid steer experience preferred
- Proven experience and success in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to be part of a team
- Strong communication skills
