Jaydo Construction is an Australian owned company specialising in Contracting and Construction Services in Water, Sewerage & Drainage Infrastructure for in excess of 30 years. Due to constant growth in major water infrastructure contracts we have recently expanded to include a Jaydo Electrical and Engineering Services (JEES) team.
About the role
JEES are now recruiting for enthusiastic, self-motivated Electrical Trade's Assistant looking to work in the industrial / commercial construction space.
You will be working with our dedicated team of skilled personnel who take a hands-on approach to the delivery of our projects, guaranteeing results.
Your position with JEES will be working with an electrical tradesperson assisting them with hardware installation both in the workshop and on various sites.
Your role may include the following:
- Installation of hardware and fixtures
- Assisting with the assembly of control system, PLC, I/O’s, control relays and indicators etc.
- Use of basic hand tools and power tools
- Installation of cable trays, ducts, conduits and other cable support systems; which includes cutting material to length and painting.
- Unskilled tasks as directed, including (but not limited to) trenching and the laying of conduit.
Our offering includes but is not limited to designing, building and installing Electrical Sewer and Water Pump Stations. Any experience with Switchboards / Motor Control Wiring in the field would be very advantageous.
Skills and experience
Applicants with the following will be highly regarded:
- Electrical switchboard assembly fitting experience
- Control wiring and switchboard wiring experience
- An internationally qualified electrical fitter or electrician without an Australian certification
- Proven experience with basic electrician's hand tools
- Prior experience with cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting nuts & bolts, masonry fixings and alike.
- Hold a Construction Induction card (white card)
- Hold a Victorian or equivalent drivers license
Your strong attention to detail; ability to maintain tight deadlines whilst following strict policies and procedures together with your positive attitude, willingness to learn and team spirit will assist you in securing an interview.
