Industrial Electrician

The Position: 

As we rapidly expand and strengthen our presence and brand as a genuine challenger in the industry, we are looking for Industrial Electricians to join our Service and Construction division at our Townsville branch.

Responsible for the installation, maintaining and testing of Electrical equipment in line with the relevant Australian standards and in line with company policies and procedures.

Job Overview:

Key responsibilities and skills include (but are not limited to):

• Manage and execute allocated jobs as required
• Work within teams as required to meet project milestones and deadlines
• Read and rectify Electrical drawings
• Complete paperwork & ITP's
• Troubleshooting electrical issues with the appropriate utilisation of relevant testing devices
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The Successful Applicant

About you: 

• Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team 
• Self-motivated
• Good written communication skills – able to prepare work reports and job instructions.
• Interpersonal/verbal communication skills - communicates effectively with the full range of people involved on and off-site with a track record of building relationships at all levels 

Essential Qualifications:

• Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• Current “C” class driver’s licence
• White Card (construction site card)
• LVR & CPR Qualification
• Working knowledge and practical application relevant (latest editions) Statutory Requirements, State Legislation, Australian Standards and Site Requirements
• Experience in working in the Industrial Electrical Industry. 
• Must have Australian Permanent Residency

Desirable:

• Sound computer skills, able to use Word and Excel.
• Willing to work on a wide range of tasks involving on and off-site work and often irregular hours.
• Working at Heights
• High-Risk Licence – EWP
• Intermediate computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package 
• Hazardous Area Installation & Inspection Qualifications

Remuneration packages will be candidate dependent. An attractive hourly rate, mobile phone, uniforms, meter calibration and vehicle will be included as standard. We are seeking candidates who are looking for long-term career progressions.
