About the role
Day to day duties will essentially revolve around the management of pumping, loading and washing of sludge, slurries, and liquids in Factory, Civil, Commercial, Public, Mining and Construction environments.
This work itself can be quite physically demanding and will require a "hands on" approach however the equipment involved is technical and expensive and requires know how and training to utilise correctly. In addition to this, Industrial Operators need to approach each job differently depending on environmental factors like access, urgency and more when assessing and carrying out their duties.
Industrial Operators are required to think on their feet, be adaptable and calm under time sensitive conditions and not be afraid to get their hands dirty.
About the company
Our client is an industry leading Industrial and Environmental Services provider and are currently establishing a strong workforce in the Gold Coast.
They will be looking to engage casual employees on a fulltime basis (inclusive of paid overtime, weekend work and shift work as required) to develop their understanding of the position by off-siding for more experienced operators in their various depots.
Off-siders will train and learn from more experienced operators through performing and observing "on the job" in addition to formalised training and induction sessions hosted on site and at RTO's.
This includes some very difficult to obtain courses which impart a highly sort after skillset and increases your capacity for earning.
Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to travel the country to a range of environments including but not limited to:
- Urban
- Regional
- Capital cities
- Industrial Hubs
- Remote Sites
- Mines
- Power Stations
The end goal is to expose employees to a wide range of work environments and approaches to give them a well-rounded understanding of different strategies and approaches for jobs and ultimately turn them into a highly trained and skilled professional.

- Have previously worked in physical roles or are able to demonstrate their willingness to work a physical job
- Are able to commit to overtime, shift work and weekend work
- Are available for shutdown, FIFO and DIDO projects as required
- Have a positive attitude and prefer to "keep busy" at work
