About Mackay Engineering College
Welcome to the Mackay Engineering College Trade Training Centre (MEC). Developed in conjunction with the regions state high schools and industry partners, the MEC provides opportunities for students to undertake a range of vocational training in a purpose built equipped modern facility. The MEC strives to develop strong enduring links with industry and to make learning 'real' in genuine work environments where students are motivated because they see a purpose for their learning. Since 2011 the MEC has been committed to providing each student the best possible opportunities that will serve as a foundation for their lifelong learning needs.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be committed to leading the strategic agenda of work placement for our students within the Mackay Region and nurturing positive relationships with our stakeholders. The role will focus on providing a high level of administrative support and contribute to upholding the reputation of the College.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Liaising with Mackay Engineering College students (250) and their Work Experience requirements.
* Contacting businesses within the Mackay Region for work experience opportunities.
* Collating, processing and typing up work experience agreements.
* Conveying Work placement details with Mackay Engineering College trainers.
* Working with VET co-ordinators from the six State High schools.
* Identifying, requesting and processing work Risk Assessment records.
