Your new role at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital
Brisbane Waters Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated Infection Control Coordinator on a part-time basis of 24 hours per week. The Infection Control Coordinator is a valuable member of the management team and is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of Infection Control policies and guidelines across the hospital.

About you
Joining a team of like-minded professionals, you will leverage your previous experience in delivering quality patient-centred care. To ensure your success, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA with a current annual practicing certificate.
- Member of the Australian Infection Control Association
- Graduate Certificate or Diploma in specialty area of nursing
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Highly developed clinical skills
- Acts as an adviser on all matters relating to Infection Control
- Acts as an adviser on all matters relating to anti-microbial stewardship
- Promotion of excellent customer service and quality training and development outcomes
- Computer literacy
- Coordinate and maintain the staff health and immunisation program
- Able to work with a diverse group of hospital employees and managers
- Responsiveness to hospital Executive directional business planning and organisational goals
- Coordinate and implement education to staff and provide evidence as required for the NSQHS and participate in the hospital accreditation process
- Responsible for maintaining a system for the collection, evaluation, reporting and monitoring of data in relation to Infection Control
- A responsibility to consult in all relevant aspects of Infection Control policies and guidelines, risk management, quality improvement and performance improvement
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Current driver’s licence
- Immunisation evidence (including full COVID vaccination) and serology report.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualification in Infection Control/Wound Management or working towards.
- At least 5 years of post graduate experience.

Situated in the coastal town of Woy Woy, conveniently located 45 minutes’ drive from Sydney, Brisbane Waters Private Hospital is a 132-bed hospital. Supported by a team of dedicated professionals we provide patient-centred care in Medical/Surgical, Rehabilitation, Drug & Alcohol and Mental Health inpatient services and outpatient day program services to the community of the NSW Central Coast. Although already the largest private Psychiatric and Drug & Alcohol services on the Central Coast, we are growing, with our second Mental Health ward due for completion in late 2023!
