Brief Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Infection Control Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, education, and evaluation of effective Infection Control standards within our hospital.
The Infection Control Coordinator at Mercy Health is responsible for the infection prevention for the hospital
- Mercy Health Albury, facility wide position
- Permanent part time position, working 16hrs per fortnight (0.21FTE)
- Responsible for Infection Control standards across the hospital
- Form an integral part of a multidisciplinary team whilst practising within the core values of Mercy Health
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Infection Control Coordinator role is responsible for the development, implementation, education and evaluation of effective Infection Control standards.
The role is required to act as a role model providing leadership and clinical practice.
You will be required to support staff in all areas of Infection Control, and be an advocate for Infection Control standards and PPE requirements.
This role will require you to be a leader in the Infection Control space, and advise staff in this space as applicable.
You will be required to remain current in Infection Control standards and be abreast of Mercy Health Albury and NSW Health policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU:
- Current unrestricted registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate qualification in Infection Control, or working towards
- Previous experience working in an Infection Control role would be desirable
- Sound skills in high level communication and interpersonal skills
- Accredited Nurse Immuniser Certificate would be desirable
