The role:
ARV have recently developed a Records Management Framework to standardise and consolidate recordkeeping activities across all resorts. The Information and Records Officer will apply the new Records Management Framework and guide the organisation to complete the transition to the new model and enhance our compliance of recordkeeping obligations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Facilitate recordkeeping processes and systems to capture full and accurate evidence of ARV’s activities and decision making as a public office under the Victorian Public Records Act 1973.
- Perform retention and disposal authority activities on both digital and physical documents.
- Ensure recordkeeping compliance obligations from other Victorian agencies and any other relevant legislation is met.
- Assist with the continuous improvement of recordkeeping standards and practices at ARV.
- Understanding of the importance of principles and processes associated with management of public records and attestations made to OVIC, PROV and general records compliance and/or willingness to learn.
- Well-developed organisational skills and recordkeeping behaviours.
- Effective use of Microsoft Office products and SharePoint, and/or willingness to learn new applications.
- Sound communication (written and verbal) skills with an ability to format and present information for dissemination to internal stakeholders.
- Effective time management, particularly when on project tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree or Cert IV in finance, commerce or other business-related disciplines or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
