We are looking for a highly motivated Information Management Officer to join our client, a local council in Western Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a close-knit team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Your Opportunity
In this contract role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of the organisation's information assets. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Implementing and maintaining records management procedures in accordance with best practice
  • Classifying, capturing, and storing information in line with organisational policies
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on records management practices to staff
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of Information Management initiatives
What You Will Bring
  • A Certificate IV in Recordkeeping or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Records Management procedures, practices, and policy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
  • Experience working in a local government environment (desirable)
  • Proven experience with TRIM and CM systems is essential
