The City of Launceston, an award winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Position Title: Information Officer

Position Number: POS0365

In this permanent full-time role, you will join a small team responsible for ensuring that City of Launceston's corporate information is properly received, stored, distributed and maintained in accordance with statutory, organisational and operational requirements.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Demonstrated computer skills including standard Microsoft applications and in database environments, with high level data entry accuracy.                         

• Proven high levels of literacy, particularly written communication skills, and numeracy.                                      

• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work flexibly and co-operatively within a team environment, an ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and aptitude for providing training to others.                     

• Effective time management skills and commitment to the philosophy of continuous improvement.
