Our client is a multi brand car dealer with dealerships throughout Melbourne.We are looking for an Information & Procurement Specialist, recognising the importance of professional integrity and reflecting a genuine commitment to the inherent strengths of our clients dealership’s products and services. You will be reporting to the general manager/ parts manager of the business.
In this role you will be:
- Undertake regular maintenance of wholesale customer database to ensure that stock listings, labelling and inventory recording is accurate and up to date. Undertake troubleshooting of database as required.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create digital catalogues using different software.
- Liaising with internal project teams to leverage information assets to achieve business objectives, conducting research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making, and participating in cross-functional teams to align information management efforts with organizational goals and to maintain strong supplier relations.
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Generate and develop proposals to streamline job processes in the Parts department.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns. For large value / space footprint items – use data analysis techniques undertake stock delivery and storage modelling, acting as an information conduit between suppliers and customers to facilitate direct supply of plant equipment or parts when needed.
- Aggregate data to compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
- Use information management tools to track sales trends, analyze inventory turnover, and assess overall dealership performance.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
- A relevant Bachelor Degree (Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Information Management) or at least five years of relevant work experience is required.
- Professional and respectful communication to all persons involved with your role.
- Highly developed understanding of, and experience in information management in a supply chain / logistics environment.
- Completion of all required learning and development material assigned for your role and personal development.
- Current drivers’ license.
- Minimum three years experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
