About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance, the Procurement Specialist has an important role in leading the delivery of the procurement process for goods and services across the Honda business in Australia, ensuring all sourcing decisions and documentation are consistent with company policy and procedures and objective selection criteria.

How you’ll make an impact
- Deliver the end-to-end sourcing strategy, including undertaking market and internal analysis, development of sourcing strategies, go to market requests, evaluations, supplier negotiations and contract development.
- Network and build relationships with internal stakeholders (including senior leaders) within the business, sharing knowledge and information to assist and influence others to make good commercial buying decisions.
- Review and analyse spend data and provide insights to the business on trends in relation to spending, offering strategies to reduce spend and achieve more value.
- Work closely with Corporate Counsel to construct contract terms and conditions that meet the agreed terms of both the business and suppliers and mitigate risk to the Honda business.
What you’ll bring to Honda
- 7+ years’ experience in Procurement (mandatory), with desirable exposure to automotive, motorcycles, power products, IT and corporate services.
- Experience maintaining and scheduling of contracts.
- Negotiation and relationship management experience.
- Analytical skills required to perform data analyses and reporting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good collaboration skills are a must.
- Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- SAP ERP experience is beneficial.
