Are you an IT professional with exposure to service delivery, operations management, problem management or incident management? Are you on the hunt for a varied role in cyber security? If so, then this could be the role for you. Our tight-knit cyber security team is looking to welcome a Wellington-based Information Security Analyst onboard. In this role, you will:
- Provide risk assessments, security advice and guidance to customers and internal teams.
- Investigate, assess, and report on the development or spread of potential cyber security threats and vulnerabilities that may impact customers and internal teams.
- Perform security evaluations of infrastructure changes.
- Participate in the resolution of security incidents, as part of the Incident and Problem Management teams.
- Provide after-hours support and participate in an on-call roster based on the operational requirements.
- Maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
- Identify and appropriately manage security risks.
- Participate in cyber security incident simulation activities.
About you: To build your own path to success in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft Cloud Security capabilities including Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Endpoints, Defender for Cloud or Sentinel.
- Sound knowledge of security related network and system infrastructures with an enterprise-level organisation, preferably IT outsourcing, government, or other organisation running mission-critical systems.
- Understanding of IT security management principles and delivery within an ITIL-based operational framework.
- Understanding of vulnerability assessment products (e.g., Tenable IO, Qualys) and experience in advising on vulnerability resolution and mitigation.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a customer facing role within a managed services ITIL based organisation.
- Understanding of risk management principles, and the application of risk assessment processes to Information Security
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to account teams, customers and internal management with ad-hoc client reports, and preparation of bid collateral.
- The willingness to work in a hybrid model with a mix of onsite presence and remote work.
- Can do attitude with the ability to work autonomously.
