Eden Ritchie is seeking an Information Sharing Officer to
- 6 month contract
- Brisbane CBD location
As the Information Sharing Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare briefing notes, submissions, reports, correspondences, and where relevant, consult on the implementation of recommended outcomes.
- Analyse and review the application of the Information Privacy Act 2009 through high statutory interpretation skills and sound knowledge of information law and policy.
- Develop, consult, and negotiate on the drafting of Information Sharing documents in relation to relevant privacy provisions to enable the Department to meet its business objectives.
- Assist in providing a high level of advice or service to stakeholders that meets agreed requirements and timeframes.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders from the Department, various Treasury offices and external agencies.
- Assist in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on complex governance and risk related projects and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with recordkeeping standards while managing timely, accurate and complete information to enable smarter decision making.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Strong skill in drafting high-level documents, such as Briefing Note or Memo.
- Demonstrate a level of knowledge and experience in the application of and compliance with the confidentiality and privacy provisions in the relevant Acts administered by the Department or similar provisions in other Acts.
- Comfortable to draft or edit agreement type of documents.
- Proven experience in delivering quality outcomes in a high-pressure environment.
- Whilst a law degree is not a mandatory requirement, proven experience in drafting/handling Information Sharing agreements and preparing high level Briefing Note would be highly regarded.
