This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.
Reporting directly to the IS&T Project Manager, the focus of this position is to:
- Develop and deliver regular training content / courseware for systems and technology adoption in coordination with Council’s Workplace Learning team.
- Develop training strategies, schedules and plans to support the use of Council’s systems and build organisation capability.
- Support and assist with the delivery of Council IT and systems projects through change, training and adoption activities.
- Liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation in relation to identifying and documenting training needs as they relate to the Council’s systems and technology.
- Coordinate the evaluation and review of systems and IT training programs on a regular and systematic basis to ensure relevancy and consistency with best practice standards within the industry.
- Liaise with external providers of training to determine the most appropriate usage of training in line with identified needs.
- Report on training attendance and completion rates for systems and IT related courses.
To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in a training, learning development or technology related field or demonstrated experience in similar system support, implementation, change or training role
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with staff effectively across all organisational levels and roles.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, plan, and organise workloads and investigate and solve problems with minimal supervision and good attention to detail.
- Ability to work as an effective team member and establish and maintain business relationships with internal staff and external service providers.
- Ability and enthusiasm to provide high quality customer service to develop and follow standardised processes to ensure quality outcomes.
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
