Role: Infrastructure Technician (Citrix)

OverviewExperis is supporting a large Defence Industry Partner and is currently seeking for an Infrastructure Technician (Citrix)
The Senior Infrastructure Technician will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:
- Manage the architecture and integration of Citrix ICT infrastructure onto Navy platforms.
- Execute the setup and configuration of Citrix infrastructure, including installing and configuring infrastructure components and provisioning necessary resources.
- Ensure the continuous health and optimal performance of Citrix infrastructure by applying patches, updates, and conducting regular health checks.
- Maintain and enhance Citrix build and deployment automation scripts to streamline processes, accommodate changes, and troubleshoot issues, enabling efficient and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with the End User Services (EUS) team to manage the complete lifespan of desktop VDI, covering planning, deployment, maintenance, and adherence to organisational standards.
- Monitor user experience, performance metrics, and set up alerting mechanisms to promptly identify and address any anomalies or critical events, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Create and peer review Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs), build guides and related artefacts.
- Report to the EUC & Apps Integration Lead in relation to status of activities, identified risks and task completion.
- Work collaboratively with project peers and external stakeholders to deliver an overall high-quality end product.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in Defence as a Senior Infrastructure Technician.
- Demonstrated experience in the architecture and integration of Citrix ICT infrastructure onto platform operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in:
- Citrix ADC (Netscaler)
- Citrix Monitoring
- Nutanix AHV
- VMware VCF/ESXi/vSphere
- Machine Creation Services
- IGEL and UMS
- PowerShell Scripting & Ansible Automation
- Ability to take customer requirements, industry standards and frameworks and apply in a practical application to future proposed designs and systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to present and engage with both internal and external stakeholders and Projects.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of ITIL best practice and ISO Quality Standards.
- Strong knowledge in applying cyber-security controls and practices aligned to zero-trust architecture principles.
- Strong knowledge with ADF deployed environments/platforms and the unique networking, support and security constraints.
