Their Analytical Services Branch conducts chemical and biological measurement on a wide range of samples including water, soil, food and pharmaceuticals. The Inorganic department is currently on the look out for a skilled Science Technician who will be responsible for preparing samples for trace elements and other inorganic analysis in their Laboratory.
Duties Include:Sample preparation of environmental and food/biota samples to allow trace elements analysis using ICPMS/ICPOES and CV-AFS instruments
Preparing batch QC samples as per their documented method and Quality Manual.Working within a team environment, prioritising work to achieve targeted turnaround times of results
Undertaking laboratory equipment calibration if required
Understanding and following their WH&S manual and safety SOPs particular to the Inorganic laboratory
Role particulars:Casual Contract 6 month duration with possible 2x6 month extension37.5 hours per week
Monday to FridayNorth Ryde location
