We offer an exciting opportunity as a Inspection Engineer in our Survey & Inspection Department. This is in a fast changing, dynamic industry where there is plenty of opportunity to grow, apply your knowledge, skills and experience in DOF’s core activities. This role reports to the Survey and Inspection Manager - Asia Pacific. This position is Perth based with offshore travel.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical input into tenders, provide the offshore inspection team with key inspection procedures, integrate BMS standard processes and procedure to project documentation, ensure that inspection mobilisations are planned and provide the logistic team with inspection input to ensure inspection systems are complete.
As such, we are seeking experienced and qualified Inspection Engineers with experience in the mobilisation of inspection systems and sensors and the final reporting and delivery to clients as per the contract requirements,
Requirements
Education:
- Suitable tertiary qualification in an engineering or science related discipline.
- CSWIP 3.4U
- Magnetic Particle Inspection Level 2
- Ultrasonic Thickness Testing Level 1
- Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria for the Pipeline Inspection Engineer competence criteria
- Nominally 12 months’ experience, including 80 operational days as pipeline Inspection Engineer Grade 1
- Strong safety ethic
- Technical Knowledge and experience with:
- Inspection techniques appropriate to ROV and Dive inspection
- Inspection systems and sensors utilised for pipeline and structural inspection
- Subsea pipelines, flow lines, umbilicals, wellheads and other subsea structures
- Calibration/verification requirements of inspection systems
- Inspection Assest Management Systems
- Pipeline inspection managements systems
- Creation of efficient dive plans
- Understanding of NDT inspection methodologies
- Computer literacy. MS Office competent.
- Data Management & archiving knowledge
- Computer networking knowledge
- Good report writing and communications skills
