The Construction & Maintenance Central (CMC) Team undertake capital and operational works to maintain and improve safety, serviceability and efficiency of the region’s road network and integrated transport system.

About the position:

The Inspector Maintenance position will be responsible for carrying out routine inspections of the infrastructure network and document defects to ensure maintenance operations are planned and completed in accordance with Council’s level of service requirements and to ensure, as far as possible, network safety.

  • This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $70,069.71 - $75,434.70 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position:

Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction with relevant experience, or a combination of experience, qualification and competence which enables the incumbent to perform all duties of the position.
  • WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or a willingness to obtain this card before commencement.
  • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
