Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Inspector is responsible for ensuring routine planned maintenance activities occur on time and meet all regulatory requirements. The role is also responsible for procurement of parts and consumables, planning of daily activities and working closely with Production to problem solve and remedy any machine related down time or scrap issues.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Develop an environment where it is understood that 100% adherence to site and corporate standards is the foundation of our success
- Contribute to capital projects
- Track spending to maintain the departmental budget
- Meet corporate and site reporting requirements
- Implement improvements in a controlled and structured manner
- Use CI principles to continually improve the preventive maintenance program
- Developing and communicating performance against KPI,s
- Lead the Maintenance team, set goals, monitor and coach
- Extensive industrial maintenance experience
- Trade and or Tertiary qualifications
- Preventative maintenance strategies
- SAP PM and ordering
- Maintenance planning and scheduling
- Leadership, ambition and a sense of urgency
- Passion for continuous improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
