To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Proven leadership as a QC Welding Inspector.
- Current recognised International Welding Inspector qualifications or CSWIP3.1 or equivalent.
- An ability to liaise at all levels with the Client and Subcontractors and ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated written communication and IT skills (including Excel, Word).
- Competent in reading and interpretation of complex or simple fabrication drawings, WPS and ITPs.
- Knowledge and understanding of FCAW, GMAW, SAW, and GTAW welding processes
- Experienced and familiar with ISO and AS/NZS weld symbols.
- Previous experience with SMP fabrication or construction.
- Knowledge of Australian standards relating to structural steel, pipe and welding.
- Self-discipline and work ethic to operate efficiently within a team or autonomously.
- Solid communication skills to work through issues and negotiate win/win outcomes.
